No account needed
You can browse rentals, read the guide, save favourites and look up buses without signing in. The app has no ads, does not track you across other apps or websites, uses no third-party analytics and never sells data.
What we receive and why
- Account (when you sign in or sign up with a code sent by email): email, name, language, account ID. To sign you in, keep you signed in, and email you about your requests.
- Enquiry about a home: the name, email and message you send. To pass it to the owner or the Danara team and reply to you.
- Viewings and rental applications (signed in): the home, the time, your note or message. To arrange the viewing and handle the application.
- Chat with Danara: your messages, your name and email if you give them, and the device’s push token (if you allow notifications) to tell you when we reply.
- Location (only if you allow it, only while you use the app): coordinates are sent to the Danara server to find bus stops near you and suggest trips. These requests are not linked to your account. During the ride guide, your position is processed on the phone to know which stop you have reached.
Data that stays on your phone
Saved homes and articles, private notes, offline articles, your language, and the name and email you last typed in a form. Your session is kept in the iOS Keychain. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Who processes data
- Danara’s servers (api.danara.vn, livechat.smess.vn, danara.vn email), run by SMESS.
- Apple: push notifications, and Apple Maps place search when you look for a start or end point (the search words go to Apple).
- Guide articles load from danara.vn. Bus data comes from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors); the app sends none of your data to OpenStreetMap.
We share data only with the owner concerned by your request, with the processors above to run the service, or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Account, viewings and applications: until you delete your account.
- Enquiries: as long as needed to handle them; when you delete your account, the name, email and message of enquiries sent with your account’s email are erased.
- Chat messages: to answer and follow up your request; you can ask us by email to delete them.
- Server logs (IP address, requests, which can include the coordinates of a bus search): at most 14 days, for security and troubleshooting.
Your rights
Under Vietnamese personal data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent. Delete your account in the app: Account (avatar at the top) → Settings → Delete account. Or email hello@danara.vn; we answer within 30 days.
You can turn off location and notifications at any time in the iPhone’s Settings.
Children
The app is meant for adults (18+) looking for a home. We do not knowingly collect children’s data.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update this page and the date above.
